Ja1da is a multi-hyphenate talent: producer, songwriter, stage production engineer, and recording artist from Savannah, Georgia. Ja1da’s music is based on a genre he coined, called “alt-trap.” “Alt-trap” combines the genres of trap, neo-soul, alternative-rock, and pop to deliver a refreshing and unique sound.

For Ja1da, the journey to “alt-trap” began at a very young age, using music to escape the realities of living in the projects. Today, 1DA takes the traditional sounds and topics of trap and reimagines them to diversify the narratives of trap music and it's musicians.
